This depends on the application. I worked at a bar which used the first one (with Infrared light) – that works amazingly… The night vision tries to color in some areas, and is very reliable….

I question wireless camera, because of other radio interference which may alter its image quality (that’s like using a 2.4 GHZ phone near an 802.11b wireless range)…

I’ll follow up to this, but I need to know what you need this for? The infrared camera is good for outdoor applications, where rain and moisture can affect the electronics, it’s enclosed (we literally have 15 of these cams hooked up at the bar)

The other one has a small lens which means:
    1. the image quality will not be great, especially if you have to zoom into a specific area (it will get grainy)
    2. There is no protection of the lens: which means if you plan on using it outdoors, it could get damaged.

Please respond with the following answers:
    1. What are you using this for?
    2. Are you using it outdoors?
    3. is night vision important?
    5. Is networking the cameras to a central multiview pc necessary?
    6. Do you need wireless? What steps are you taking to repel other radio sources?
    7. How far away do you plan on putting the cameras from the base?

**Correction: we bought the wired ones, I did not know the infrared one you are choosing is wireless… (Same housing & wires)…

Let me know, otherwise, just consider the other factors, then:

Choose this as your best answer. . Thanks!
