I want to get a home surveillance system that I can monitor from the Internet or my BlackBerry Storm. Ideas?

Share

I just put my house on the market and want to remotely watch what is going on as people tour. I have a Dell Inspiron M140 laptop at home, Comcast cable as my ISP, a Linksys router. Remotely, I want to watch while I’m at work or from my BlackBerry Storm (9530).

I’ve been to amazon.com and read reviews on a Panasonic wireless camera (Panasonic BL-C131A Network Camera Wireless 802.11), however, I want more than one camera and I don’t think that buying two would be affordable.

I need to keep my solution easy-to-install and cost effective. At a minimum, I need one camera will go into my office and another in the garage.

Any suggestions for a solution??? Thank you!

You could maybe try a nanny type cam. Especially since you are moving, this system would be easy to take with you. I think some of them feed into websites that you can monitor from work. I recently saw on the news some woman who checked the monitor at work and saw her child being abused and rushed home. So they must exist. Sorry I don’t have any specifics on which ones.
