Surveillance camera for bedroom?

Share

My little sister has a severe addiction to stealing people’s belongings…she’s stolen cameras, GPS systems, 0 keys, you name it out of my room…and then when you confront her about it, she accuses you of lying and beats you up for daring to accuse her of taking things from you. It’s not until months later when you catch her trying to sneak into the house holding your belongings that you have proof that she did, indeed, take your stuff.

I’ve about had it with this sh**. I’m trying to save up my money to get my own car and move out to my own place, and I’m constantly having spend my money to replace stuff my psychotic little sister steals from me.

So my question is, is there such a thing as a surveillance camera that can be installed in a bedroom, and if so, where would you hide such a thing so that she wouldn’t detect it?

If anyone has any cheaper solutions, please let me know! I considered installing some form of alarm that would go off when she opens the door, but she’s got to do most of her stealing when no one’s home to hear it anyway. I also considered a lock with a code instead of a key since she’s a master lock picker, but there’s no use because 1) my door frame is pretty much standing on its last leg from her getting mad and punching my solid wooden door in anyway, so it probably wouldn’t be as effective as it would be if the door frame were intact and 2) those things seem pretty expensive themselves.

Thank you!

about the size of a button

you can hide them anywhere – some are wire less and they are cheap

you could pin it to the curtain and she would never notice it or hide it on the clock radio

what are you going to do once you’ve taped her in the act

it’s not going to stop her from stealing from you – your parents are going to do something about it? – why don’t you just hurry and get out, don’t replace the stuff she steels until you move out – or store it somewhere else so she can’t get to it and doesn’t know where it is

I think you can leave a webcam running and recording from a laptop or computer. But your best bet is just a normal camera with memory to record. Put it on a shelf, in the corner somewhere, corner of a desk, where ever that isnt out in plain sight. Then just put something over it like a towel or a tshirt to blend it in. Maybe a stuffed animal, idk. Camouflage it a bit, and to your surprise, most people wont notice its on and that its there

you really need to install a lock. There is a new kind of door nob that doesn’t use pins and is anti pick and its also bump proof. These are known as grade 2 locks. Kwiksets smart key is one type but there are others. A deadbolt has a longer throw and may be more security and you could install it in the nob hole but this would prevent unlocked closing.(unless you also use some type of door catch) Either way a smart key is about 30.00 and if you put a pole in the window jam she wont get in without breaking something.
