With the War on Terrorism, we need to be on the watch out to make sure there are no terrorists living amongst us.
The government needs to install cameras in everyone’s home to make sure that we have no terrorists living amongst us. What better way can we fight terrorism?
A neighbor of mine across the street always has his curtains drawn. That really draws suspicion of a terrorist.
Homeland Security is doing good and I’m glad we have the Patriot Act, but we need to go further and install cameras in everyone’s home. Surveillance of every individual is a sure way to fight terrorism.
You’re kidding, right? Do YOU want a camera installed in your home?
Um…..yeah….NO!
That’s the stupidest thing i’ve ever heard. Do the US a favor and never run for president.
Why does a certain book by George Orwell come to mind.
LOL..I know right? People are so uptight these days….
What I meant by that is, people take too many precautions and I understood the underlying sarcasm in your question but obviously people are too slow to understand my answer.
smh….I’m going to assume you don’t really think this is something that could actually happen.
No offense, but OMG. Hell no! I hate the Patriot Act! They listen in on your PHONECALLS? O.o Where’s the freedom… That’s just scary. And this is just my personal opinion, just saying. All my opinion.
No. That is a horrible idea. We def don’t need to be watched by a "Big Brother." And I always keep my shutters shut when I am home by myself because I don’t want people looking in–and by no means am I a terroristttt!
"A neighbor of mine across the street always has his curtains drawn. That really draws suspicion of a terrorist."
That’s….that’s a joke, right? I mean you’re not actually serious?
If you are, then you’re either ridiculously paranoid or your priorities are fucked up. Could crime and terrorist attacks be stopped if everyone was under constant government surveillance? Probably. No, definitely. But it would be at the cost of not just our privacy, but our individual freedom as human beings.
The question of where counter-terrorism should draw the line in cutting into civil liberties is a tough one to answer, and there are legitimite arguements on both sides. But no one in their right mind is suggesting that we put cameras in every house in America. That’s just 1984, Big Brother shit. Isn’t it bad enough that they can already listen in on all of our phone calls?
