how do i boost the signal on a wireless camera setup. its signal strength is about 300ft wich equates to about 40ft-50ft in the real world (cell phone interferance, radio signal interferance etc.) what device is used to boost the signal for these types of devices and how does it work? i need a signal strong enough for it to work up to about 700ft through walls and stuff, the tiny camera is going to be mounted on a small rc car and driven in my backyard : ) there i said it.

Boosting the signal requires approal of the Federal Communications Commission and you won’t get it. This means you either violate the law (hope you like Leavenworth Kansas) or you do something legal.
You can run a CAT5 cable (max length 100 meters or approx 330 ft for wired CAT5) from the router outside the house and install a Wireless Access Point outside. This shortens the distance and avoids the wall penetration. This should do the job; Watch for security breaches as hackers can find you and you don’t want them to enter.
