i have a digital video recorder 500gig HDD for my security cameras. the recorder has a RCA output. how can i view it in my laptop, if my laptop connection only has HDMI and USB?

    You’ll need to purchase a specialized pigtail which converts the RCA out to a USB connection. I believe they are available at RadioShack or at any online electronics site. I’d be surprised that your laptop doesn’t have a S-video imput , so look again. It’s a small circle with 4-slots inside it., if you need an example, look on the back of your TV. Be aware, you’ll probably need special software to view the data, check the recorder’s website to see if there’s a download available. Good luck.
