Well i use Falco Watcher which is a small tool that lets you use your PC webcam to watch your house.
You can watch your house or children when you aren?t there? You need no movement detector. Falco Watcher, via your webcam, registers, and saves in an AVI file, all movements that take place, so you can later view them in any video player. It is very simple to use, as you just adjust a series of parameters to your taste, like: continuous recording or only on movement detection. You also have the option to select the recording time interval. In other words, you can select the start and finish days as well.

I also use falco watcher, I’ve tried a number of different webcm surveillance systems on the market and its the best i can find. Its always important to get the traditional lighting right though, as the night vision on some webcams aren’t too good.
